Farmhouse Decor that has Gained Popularity

Farmhouse decor is all the rave right now and it’s not difficult to see why.  From wood framed wall art to farmhouse sinks, nothing says “cozy living” more than snuggling up to your own DIY or store bought farmhouse pillow. So what are the big selling items these days?  Let’s start with the Tobacco Basket. This post may contain affiliate links, which means I may receive a commission at no cost to you. What are home decorating experts doing with these?  Well, you can mainly find these hanging above a fireplace mantle or above a buffet.  You can add items such as a wreath or a star to them, even a picture or a monogrammed letter.  You…

    Home Decor Favorites

Well it’s a chilly Friday morning around 5:00am and I thought while I’m sitting here sipping my first coffee and browsing the web, I’d share with you some of my favorites! This post may contain affiliate links, which means I may receive a commission at no cost to you. If you’re here much at all, you probably know I’m REALLY into home decor and decorating in general!  I feel like if I have any calling in life, other than being a mother, it’s decorating, whatever purpose that serves!  I don’t know what it is but making something beautiful out of nothing just excites me!  And putting things in order and…

    DIY Coffee Filter Wreath

Items you need for this project: 1 glue gun and LOTS of glue sticks 1 styrofoam wreath form TONS of white coffee filters Pencil Here’s how…

DIY Drab to Fab Side Table Makeover!

This was an old coffee table I restored with some chalk paint I made at home. LOVE the way it turned out! In fact, it’s still sitting in my living room corner. This post may contain affiliate links, which means I may make a commission at no cost to you. If you’re not a fan of making you’re own chalk paint like I do, I recommend going with Annie Sloan, which is how I actually started painting.  I have a dealer who sells this stuff and let me tell you, it’s excellent!  I love chalk paint in that it dries so much faster than regular paint and it covers well!…

    Boy’s Bathroom Makeover

So, I’ve been wanting to do bathroom makeovers since we moved into this house 4 years ago.  I’ve never really had the funds to do it considering all the help the rest of the house needed, so I started with those rooms first.  Well, I’m finally to the point where I could do it.  Not a complete bathroom makeover (shower and all), but almost.  The bathrooms came with the ugliest, most disgusting tile floors known to man.  Ok, there’s probably worse but mine were at the top of the list.  Granted, I did repaint after moving in, because I couldn’t live with the ugly wallpaper tapered to the walls but…
